OWNER AND FOUNDER
As a mother of two and a business owner with a very busy schedule, Amy understands the importance of having a skincare regime that shows results without a lot of maintenance. She relates to the clients who are minimalists in using products and getting regular facials, as well as the clients who tend to indulge in a variety of products and an abundance of services. Amy says that she likes to meet her clients in the middle – sharing her expertise on the importance of a consistent and personal skin regime while also relating to the busy and full lives we all live today.
With a mom who spent her career in health care and teaching patients the importance of a solid skin care regime while also teaching her daughter how to maintain beautiful and natural skin, Amy has had a passion for skincare products and treatments for most of her life. Fast forward to becoming an esthetician at age 40 and owning her own business in Big Sky, after being a local resident here for more than 20 years, and now there is Sanctuary.
Her approach to skincare: less is more. Quality ingredients, used consistently, along with regular facials and a healthy lifestyle will produce glowing, youthful looking skin. Amy focuses on protecting and nourishing skin rather than “fixing” any perceived flaws. Tackling issues like acne, dark spots, and texture with a solid plan for her clients is her passion.
Besides the awe-inspiring scenery, Amy feels very fortunate to be a part of such an incredible community here In Big Sky, of which she’s proud to call many residents her friends and neighbors. Having the opportunity to connect with faces new and old is a privilege she doesn’t take for granted.
She knew that she wanted to help people with massage therapy in the way that it helped her at a young age with stress and horse accident injuries. Her father began taking her to a cranial sacral therapist who changed her life at the age of 13 and helped direct her into the career that built for the past 22 years.
After studying many styles of massage, from Eastern Ayurvedic to more western style approaches, with techniques such as trigger point therapy and myofascial release, Molly also studied in the Northern part of Thailand, and incorporates Thai massage into her treatments, which includes working with meridians and passive stretching. She’s also studied cranial sacral, reflexology, hot basalt stones, lymphatic drainage along with other modalities.
Molly says that every massage is unique with a blend of techniques and styles depending on individuals’ bodies, concerns, and personal needs.
